Drake Booed Off Stage, Finally Responds

Drake was booked as a surprise headliner for the Camp Flog Gnaw festival, but the fans were expecting Frank Ocean, so he got booed. After receiving the unexpected poor reception he asked the crowd if he should continue.

Drake said, “I’m here for you tonight. If you want to keep going, I will keep going tonight. What’s up? If you want to keep going, I will keep going tonight.”

The crowd responded and  chanted “We want Frank!”

“Well, look,” Drake said. “It’s been love. I love y’all. I go by the name of Drake. Thank you for having me.” The star ended his set and walked off stage 20 minutes early.

Camp Flog Gnaw was put together by artist, Tyler the Creator, who responded in a series of tweets to express his disappointment. As one of the most influential and popular musicians of this time it's hard to believe Drake of all people would be booed. However, Flog Gnaw Festival has a reputation for being out of the box and entertaining. Not to be outdone Drake joined in the fun and reacted to being booed with a little Instagram trolling.

The caption on the post (shown above) reads "Plot twist...just signed a 10 year residency at Camp Flog Gnaw sorry kids see you EVERY SINGLE YEAR till you are 30." Good for him for having a sense of humor about it.
