The movement is going strong. After years of being known as the "Indians" the MLB team from Cleveland will change their name to the "Guardians" starting the 2022 season. This culminates protest from Natives to change the name from the offensive term "Indians" to something else. This is also why the NFL's Washington club dropped the moniker the "Redskins."
