During Thursday’s episode of Queen Radio, Nicki Minaj was pressed about her rumored beef with Cardi B … for the 2,4934th time.
Beats 1 host Ebro Darden brought up Nicki’s relationship with the Invasion of Privacy rapper as well as her feud with Remy Ma.
“I never saw you and Remy heading in this path. I never saw that. I never saw you and Cardi headed in this path. I never saw that,” he said during the broadcast. “And do you believe these things are fixable? Because women in rap are having a time right now, at least a lot of— ”
The visibly agitated rapper interrupted: “Can we please move on, Ebro? C’mon. Honestly, let’s go. If you know me, you would know the answer to the first question. Like, give me a f***n’ break,” she said, seemingly referring to Remy.
“Now, I didn’t know Cardi and I had an issue, but I guess we do since you’re saying it and other people are saying it. To me, she may have taken an issue with things that I’ve said, but I’m not going to bite my tongue […] You gotta have thick skin. People talk shit about me all the time […] You can’t be expect to be liked and loved and praised all the f***n time. Give me a break.”
Nicki didn’t get specific with the “things” she has said about Cardi, but went on to say that the music biz isn’t suited for those who want their a** kissed 24/7.
Nicki and Cardi B’s complicated relationship has nabbed plenty of headlines within the past year. Many fans believe the NYC rappers have taken subliminal shots at each other; however, Cardi has claimed that here was no bad blood.
“I just feel like it's really internet made-up,” Cardi told Ebro back in April. “I really feel like fans and people really want to see that happen because it's really entertaining. To see people beef is entertaining.”
